Send a new retainer to a client you already have.

Additional work for an existing client gets its own e-signed, paid retainer, sent from the client's Billing tab and filed to the case you choose, with no duplicate lead and no second portal invite.

A new petition, a renewal, an RFE response: more work for someone who is already your client used to mean creating a duplicate lead just to send the agreement. Now you press Send retainer on their Billing tab and choose where it lands once paid, either one of their open cases or a new case of the type you pick. The client gets the same retainer email in their language, signs and pays on the same page, and also finds the agreement waiting in their client portal. When the payment arrives, the paid invoice and the sealed agreement are filed to that case. Your pipeline stays clean, and the client is never asked to sign up again.

  • File to an existing case or open a new one, decided when you start the retainer
  • A Retainer to sign card in the client portal opens the same agreement as the email
  • Every retainer for the client is listed on their Billing tab with resend, remind, void and the signed PDF

Lex now researches the web, and checks your cases against what it finds.

Ask about a policy alert, this month's Visa Bulletin, TPS for a country or a recent decision, and Lex reads the official sources, links every claim with its date and tells you which of your cases it affects.
